Drowning victims were high school seniors

Two teenage boys pulled from Prospect Lake Monday afternoon are dead.  They drowned in the lake.  Harrison School District 2 confirms the victims are Victoreno DeJesus Martinez and Juan Neri Segura.  They were seniors at Harrison High School.

When divers pulled one of them out of the water, he had been under water for 40 minutes.  The other was underwater for 43 minutes. Paramedics were trying to revive them as they sped away in an ambulance, but the two teens didn't make it.

A witness told NewsFirst5 that three young people were swimming in the lake when one of them started yelling for help. A second person swam over and they both went under. That's when 911 was called.

The third person got out of the water safely.

According to CHSAA's website, DeJesus Martinez played soccer for Harrison High School.
