Drop of pope's blood given to Greeley church

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - A drop of blood purported to be from Pope John Paul II has been given to a Roman Catholic Church in Greeley.
Rev. Pawel Zborowski of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church tells the Greeley Tribune that he was presented the drop of blood on a cloth encased in a decorative gold cross last month in Poland. It was presented to him by Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, Archbishop of Krakow.
Zborowski says the blood came from medical tests performed on John Paul before he died.
The relic is highly prized because it is directly associated with John Paul, who the Vatican says will likely become a saint.
John Paul died in 2005.
Zborowski says he presents the relic at Mass and hopes to build a display for it.
