Driver saved, then takes off

A bizarre rollover crash Wednesday night in Colorado Springs. Police say a Jeep rolled over, crashed into an electrical box and burst into flames at Union and Fountain. A bystander stopped and pulled the driver to safety. Officers say that likely saved the man's life.

But strangely, the driver took off. Investigators say he was shaken but otherwise OK.

Police discovered the Jeep was reported stolen out of Denver.

The suspect is an Hispanic male in his early 20's, 5' 10" tall with short dark hair. He told the witness that his name was John.

Crews from CSFD put the fire out. The intersection was closed for about an hour.

If you have information about the driver you're asked to call 444-7000.
