Colorado Springs police have filed charges against the driver involved in Monday's deadly accident involving pedestrians.
Jennifer Eggleton is now facing charges of Careless Driving Resulting in Death and Pedestrian's Right of Way in Crosswalk.
Although the pedestrians were not walking in a marked crosswalk, all intersections are considered a crosswalk in Colorado statutes.
Two Colorado Springs women were hit and killed Monday while walking home after dropping off five kids at Carver Elementary.
It happened on North Carefree Circle at the cross street of Picturesque Circle.
The 14-month-old baby they were pushing in a stroller survived and is being treated at the hospital.
One of the victims, Rebecca Robinson is the mother of kids at Carver at the school. Her friend Rose Arcuragi is the grandmother of kids who go there.
