A drive-by shooting apparently targeted 2 women, one of them is 78 years old.
It happened outside a home on East Main Street in Canon City and the shooter hasn't been caught.
Karen Price says she and her mother are the only 2 who live there and if the bullet was fired 13 seconds earlier it would have hit her in the head.
The bullet hit her pick up truck. She'd just walked inside the house when she heard the gun shot. "And that's when I heard the gun go off," said Price, "and I said 'oh my god that guy's got a gun.'"
She ran over to move her mother away from the living room window. "My alarm on my truck went off at that point and I looked out and that's when I could identify the guy that was out there and the silver van."
She also says she saw him holding a rifle. She thinks he has short brown hair and a medium build.
Canon City Police say investigators from the Sheriff's Office and the Fremont County District Attorneys Office are involved in the investigation. "We have taken the case to the Combined Investigations Division and it's currently under investigation," Police Capt. Alan Cooper told News First 5.
Price says she and her mother are now living in fear, "It's scary to us. We live by ourselves and you know, it's scary,"
Police say you could earn a cash reward for information in this case.
