Downtown store to close after more than 30 years

A popular interior home furnishings store will soon close its doors in downtown Colorado Springs.
The Silent Woman on Nevada was started by Mary Kuehn 31 years ago. She says after much thought, and changing her mind several times, she will retire.
The store has been successful in three locations, at Barnes and Oro Blanco, the Citadel Mall and for the last five years on Nevada near Colorado College.
A liquidation sale will start Thursday and she expects the inventory to be gone by Thanksgiving.
