Downtown stabbing was self-inflicted

What was thought to be a stabbing in downtown Colorado Springs turned out to be self-inflicted.
It happened near Bijou and Weber Street just after 1:30 p.m.
Initially, officers thought the man was a victim of a crime, but after further investigation they discovered the man stabbed himself in the abdomen after a fight with a girlfriend.
Police say no further information will be released.
