Donations show bond between fire departments

There was a particularly touching moment during the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon Monday afternoon, a show of brotherhood between the Pueblo and Colorado Springs Fire Departments.
As firefighters from the CSFD brought in their cash donations from the Fill the Boot campaign, Scott Reiman of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local #5 announced that they were contributing all $80,000 that they collected to the Pueblo firefighters in honor of the late Pueblo fireman Rick Mark.
Mark was a long time MDA supporter who died in June while attending a muscular dystrophy event in Steamboat Springs.
Together, the departments donated $108,000 to MDA, a sum that is likely to be the largest contribution in the state this year.
