Doherty dancer is this week's "Athlete of the Week"

Dancing may not be a sanctioned high school sport, but no doubt dancers are athletes. And this week a dancer has earned the "Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week" award. Congratulations to Doherty freshman Alexis Corcoran.
Alexis attends the Zamuel Ballet School 20 to 25 hours a week after school and on weekends. This year she had the role of Dew Drop in the Nutcracker. Alexis was also a finalist in the Youth American Grand Prix competition. In the classroom she carries a 4.0 GPA in her honors classes.
