Pueblo do-it-yourselfers with radon problems can learn how to mitigate the problems in their homes at a free workshop on June 26. The class will be held at the Business and Technology Center, 301 N. Main St., 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Homeowners will learn how to make basic necessary repairs that can significantly reduce elevated radon levels in their home. These are the same methods used by professional certified radon mitigators to reduce a family's exposure to radon gas.

There are currently 13 spaces left in the class, sponsored by PuebloCAREs (Community Action for a Renewed Environment). Phone 719-252-6258 to reserve a place in the class.

Long-term exposure to radon could increase your chances of getting cancer.
