Do away with the penny?

Thursday, a Washington comittee will hear a report from the U.S. Mint on the idea of doing away with the penny. It costs almost two and half cents to make one, a cost that would go away. Opponents of the plan say it would result in prices being rounded up. Canada has already done away with their one cent coin.
