DNA evidence used to ID pipe bomb suspect

DENVER (AP) - A court document says DNA evidence from a homemade bomb at a Colorado shopping mall led investigators to identify the suspect as a convicted bank robber who had just been released from prison.
A criminal complaint made public Wednesday says the evidence matched the DNA profile of 65-year-old Earl Albert Moore in a national database. Moore was arrested Tuesday at a grocery store in Boulder, about 30 miles from the location of the bomb. A customer spotted him drinking coffee at a Starbucks inside the supermarket.
Moore is due in court later Wednesday. The criminal complaint says a pipe bomb and two propane tanks were discovered when an employee of a store at the Southwest Plaza Mall saw flames coming from a small propane tank sitting near electrical equipment.
