Would you want to dive into Pueblo's Riverwalk when it's only 30 degrees outside?

That's just what five people did today!

They're with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office Volunteer Dive Team.

Each person had to go underwater, stay under, and carve a pumpkin, all while keeping up with any pieces they cut out.

It can be a fun event for the divers, but it's also meant to be a learning experience for recovery and rescue efforts.

"Make sure that they have dexterity with their hands, so this let's them make sure that they can manipulate small objects," said Lisa Shorter, Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer.

Unfortunately, it was so cold this morning that not enough people came to vote on the best pumpkin.

You can visit our Facebook page where we have pictures of each.
