Distinguished scientist to speak in Colorado Springs

Distinguished scientist and author Dr. David Grinspoon will speak in Colorado Springs this Saturday at the Fine Arts Center, as part of the FAC's continuing focus on NASA Art: 50 Years of Exploration.

Dr. Grinspoon is the Curator of Astrobiology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. He's also written In the Dark of Space, Enlightenment Waits, 2006 and Lonely Planets: The Natural Philosophy of Alien Life, 2003.

The scientist studies surface and atmospheric evolution of planets with a focus on possible environments for extraterrestrial life.

He is a frequent advisor to NASA on space exploration strategy and is on the science team for NASA's next Mars rover.

Dr. Grinspoon will speak at the FAC Saturday, Jan. 30 at 2 pm. Tickets are $5 for members, $7 for nonmembers. Click here to purchase tickets.
