NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two people being held in Louisiana are suspects in the death of a Bourbon Street stripper whose body parts washed ashore on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Hancock County, Miss., Sheriff's Department says Margaret Sanchez and Terry Christopher Speaks, both aged 28, face charges unrelated to 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart's death. However, chief investigator Glenn Grannan says they are being questioned as suspects.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said Speaks was in federal custody Wednesday after U.S. Marshals arrested him on a North Carolina warrant accusing him of failing to register as a sex offender.

A brief indictment said he was accused in Surry County, N.C., but does not describe the sex offense.
