DIA and 27 other airports added to pre-screening program

Some passengers will be able to get through airport security a bit faster - because a government pre-screening program is being expanded to more airports in the US.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said today it represents a "fundamental shift" in aviation security.
The program identifies people who travel many miles each year and asks them if they want to sign up for the TSA- pre-check program.
It would allow them to go through airport security in an expedited manner. In some cases, they will not have to take off their shoes and belts or remove laptops out of their luggage.
Federal officials are not saying what specific criteria fliers will have to meet to be invited into the program.
