The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office is looking for an El Paso County man in connection to a homicide investigation in Pueblo County. Detectives are calling him a person of interest.
Law enforcement all across the state has been told to be on the lookout for Matthew Adam Barnes, 30, also known as Matthew Green.
The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office wants to question Barnes about the death of Robert Piserchio, 50, in Pueblo County. "There is a possibility he may have some information and we would like to talk to him," said Law Enforcement Bureau Chief Charlene Graham.
Piserchio was found dead in his home on Stonemoor Dr. on December 10. The coroner says Piserchio suffered blunt force trauma to his head and also had burns and wounds to his body.
The sheriff's office isn't saying how Barnes knew Piserchio--only that he is a person of interest in the case.
Barnes has two warrants out for his arrest in El Paso County for failing to register as a sex offender. He's 5'10'' and has brown hair and blue eyes.
If you've seen Barnes or know his whereabouts contact the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office at 719-583-6250 or call Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
