Deputies find body & meth lab at Monument home

MONUMENT - When deputies with the El Paso County Sheriffs Office joined probation officers to look for a man here with an active warrant Wednesday morning, they found a body and an active methamphetamine lab.

There are no obvious signs of trauma and autopsy results are pending. The man's identity is not being released until next of kin are notified.

The lab was inside the home at 2845 Hunters Glen Road. Members of the bomb squad and El Paso County Sheriffs Office Hazardous Materials Team are still at the crime scene disposing of the lab.
