DENVER (AP) - Denver Zoo officials are considering an increase in admission fees because of the rising cost of buildings and animal feed.
A committee on Tuesday recommended that the mayor and city council raise fees by $2 a person, beginning in January.
According to the Denver Post, current zoo ticket prices are $6 to $8 for kids and $10 to $13 for adults, depending on the season.
Last year, fees were increased by $1.
