Oprah Winfrey's foundation has given a Denver charter school a $1 million grant to help add other campuses in the city. The grant from Winfrey's Angel Network foundation was announced during her show Monday.

Denver's School of Science and Technology was featured on the show as one of six successful charter school networks in the country. It was founded in 2004. Since then, all of its graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges.

About 1,000 students attend the charter school's two campuses. Officials plan to open three more campuses.
