The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has received the largest donation in its history - $8 million for a new building.
The museum announced the donation Monday from the Morgridge Family Foundation. The money will build a new 40,000-square-foot, three-story Science Engagement Center for children.
The museum is also planning to build a new underground storage facility to hold collections.
Museum officials said construction would begin next year.
