While the City of Colorado Springs is scrambling to keep FREX, the Front Range Express bus line, running between Colorado Springs and Denver, another group is looking ahead to a day when FREX won't be around.
FREX is scheduled to shut down on February 12, but Colorado Springs may be able to keep it going for awhile by selling surplus buses. At least two out of state transit agencies are interested in purchasing buses from FREX.
Tonight a group will meet to discuss a vanpool for people who live in Colorado Springs and work in Denver. That meeting is at Old Chicago at Woodmen and I-25 at 7:30 p.m. The City of Colorado Springs does help coordinate vanpools for citizens. Information is available at the city website.
