Delays anticipated on US 50 East

BENT COUNTY - The Colorado Department of Transportation is preparing drivers in Bent County for construction delays this week as workers attempt to install new water pipes under the highway.
The round-the-clock closures are expected to last through Wednesday along a stretch of US Highway 50 East near the town of Hasty about 10 miles east of the Fort Lyon turnoff (between La Junta and Lamar).
Drivers can expect up to 10 minute delays and 30 mile per hour speeds through the workzone. Vehicles wider than 12 feet also are not allowed to travel through the area during work hours.
