UPDATED: Murder victim was a man

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies say a badly decomposed body was found on a ranch off Highway 115 near the Fremont County line. Sunday, the body was identified as a man. They still don't know he he was.
"I've never seen anything like that before," said Mike Baier who manages the property and lives there. The property-owner, Swede Hanson, says he was clearing brush when he noticed something hidden in a thick pile and immediately called Baier.
"As soon as I got home, I looked and noticed it was in fact a dead body," he said.
Deputies responded immediatly and determined the victim had been shot to death. They are still working to identify the man and figure out what happened.
"Now maybe a crime can be solved or at least some family can have some closure," said Baier.
