TOKYO (AP) - The death toll in Japan has risen to 20 as a powerful typhoon slowly passes the country's west coast. Nearly half a million people have been advised, if not ordered, to evacuate in western and central Japan. At least 3,600 people have been stranded by flooded rivers, landslides and collapsed bridges
and 50 people are missing.
