Deadly shooting in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Grand Junction police are investigating after a dispute between a man and his son left one person dead.

Investigators say three people were inside a house early Wednesday when there was a dispute involving a father and his adult son. Police say the son was shot and killed.

"At this point we believe the relationship is a father-son relationship, the son being the victim," says Kate Porras, public information coordinator for the GJPD.

Three people were inside the home at the time of the shooting; they are believed to be a family. The shooter and other person inside the home at the time are both being detained for questioning by the police department.

No one has been arrested and authorities are not looking for any other suspects at this time.
