Kentucky officials say five people have died in the state due to flooding.
Three of those people were killed in Nelson County.
Emergency management officials say a car carrying five people tried to cross a low bridge that had been overcome by the flooded Rolling Fork River early Sunday.
Two of the five people were able to escape the vehicle and get to safety.
Officials say the river had risen four to five feet above the bridge.
Officials say another body was recovered from an abandoned vehicle that was found in a flooded ditch in Ballard County.
Meanwhile in Carroll County, another person was killed after being trapped underneath a four wheel ATV when it was overturned by flooded creek water.
