Day care provider pleads guilty in child's death

A Canon City daycare provider will be sentenced in January after a guilty plea in the death of a child in her backyard.
Leslie Grayson, 52, admitted to one count of child abuse resulting in death. Four-year-old Riddick Boling drown in August in a swimming pool in Grayson's back yard in the 1300 block of S. 12th Street. Grayson also admitted to one count of misdemeanor child abuse for having children in her care who weren't tall enough to touch the bottom of her swimming pool.
As a condition of the plea agreement Grayson will spend up to 90 days in jail and also serve time on probation.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 11.
