Day care aide pleads guilty to sex assault

DENVER (AP) - A former teacher's aide at a Denver church day care has pleaded guilty to sex assault charges under a deal with prosecutors.
Officials at the Denver district attorney's office said Monday that 19-year-old Benjamin Janicki was accused of sexually assaulting nine girls at the Children's Center at Park Hill United Methodist Church. Prosecutors say he pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of attempted sexual assault on a child.
He faces between 20 and 40 years in prison when he's sentenced on July 22.
He was hired as a summer program pre-kindergarten aide in 2010.
