Damage brings call to prevent future flooding

A South Dakota congresswoman vows to help victims of flooding in her state.

Representative Stephanie Herseth Sandlin held a community meeting in Centerville to talk about ongoing flood relief efforts there.

Residents along the Vermillion River and its tributaries came hoping to get answers on how much help they can expect. Herseth Sandlin also talked about a plan for future flood mitigation and said she would do all she could in Washington to help flood victims.
