DA confirms Lynch will testify against Sims

El Paso County District Attorney Dan May has confirmed to News First 5 that as part of a plea deal, Monique Lynch will tesify against Hanif Sims regarding the death of 9 year old Genesis Sims.
The body of 9-year-old Genesis Sims was discovered May 14, 2010, by two contractors who were digging a pit for a sump pump in the crawl space beneath a duplex where Sims and Lynch had once lived.
May tells us Lynch will plead guilty to child abuse resulting in death and will testify against Sims. Sims will have his original charge of child abuse resulting in death upped to 1st degree murder.
