D-38 schools briefly in lockdown

Five schools in District 38 were in lockdown status for less than an hour this afternoon as the El Paso County Sheriff's Office looked for a suspect.
The suspect was arrested at County Line Road and Beacon Lite. District 38 reported the lockdown was recommended by the Sheriff's Office and was lifted just before 1 p.m. The schools on lockdown were Palmer Ridge, Lewis-Palmer Elementary, Lewis-Palmer Middle, Palmer Lake and Monument Academy.
