The Lewis-Palmer School Board plans to name an interim superintendent for the next school year as early as July 15th. At a meeting July 1, Board
members finalized the application and selection process to find a short-term replacement for the former superintendent, who resigned last month.

Lewis-Palmer High School Principal John Borman is now Acting Superintendent. The Board would like to hire a one-year interim superintendent.

All applications are due by noon on July 9th. The screening and interview process will include Board members and administrators and is planned to be completed no later than July 15th. Board Vice President Robb Pike explains, "We want to provide stability in the District, and be sure of a smooth opening to the school year,
which is just six weeks away. We need to have a person in place very soon whom our staff, parents, and community can look to for the year." Board members are finalizing details of the screening and interview process, including the key tasks that will be expected of the interim superintendent and the characteristics they'll be looking for in candidates."

The job posting, application requirements, and additional information for candidates can be found on the D38 web site.
