They did it for swine flu and now the Obama administration wants to convey clear and concise guidance about one of the biggest national security threats -- the computer. Former national intelligence director Michael McConnell said recently the Internet "is the soft underbelly" of the U.S. today with "a level of vulnerability that is unprecedented."
Whether a computer is in the home or office, the administration reminds people to think before they click. Officials note that what is said and done in cyberspace stays there -- for many to see, steal and use -- sometimes maliciously.
The Pentagon's computer systems are probed 360 million times a day, and one prominent power company has acknowledged up to 70,000 scans a day. Most probes are benign but others are aimed at espionage or tampering with or destroying data.
