Customers treated to free A/C units after severe heat

Some Indiana residents have a good reason to be thankful for the extreme heat this week, their new air conditioning systems are free.

BNG ran an ad promoting free air condition systems if the temperatures topped 100 degrees on July 4th. Not only did it reach 100, it was 103!

The promotion involves anyone that bought their complete system between April 1 and June 26; in all 26 families are getting the refund, minus taxes.

"It was kind of a crazy idea on a whim," said Mark Schmitz with BNG Heating and Cooling, "we got with a weather insurance company and we insured july fourth for a hundred degrees."

The company says they're happy to put money back into the local economy and some lucky customers say this means more comfort and cash for their families.
