BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The University of Colorado says starting quarterback Tyler Hansen suffered a ruptured spleen and is likely out for the season.
Hansen was hit hard during Saturday's 27-24 loss to Texas Tech.
CU spokesman Dave Plati said Sunday Hansen was admitted to Boulder Community Hospital and will likely remain there for a few days.
Plati says doctors are hopeful that they won't have to remove the spleen.
