BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Sociology professor Patti Adler says she will return to the University of Colorado next week to resume teaching her controversial class on deviant behavior.
Adler tells the Boulder Daily Camera she decided to return to teach her course because of the support she received from students, past students, fellow faculty members and national organizations.
The university cleared Adler to teach her course last week after a five-person executive committee in the sociology department gave Adler the go-ahead to resume teaching the class.
University officials became concerned after some students complained they were videotaped during a skit that portrayed prostitutes and described their lifestyles for the class.
