CSU-Pueblo opens rec center to the public

CSU-Pueblo is opening up its recreation center to the community for the summer. The Student Recreation Center opened less than two years ago at a cost of $10 million.

It includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, racquetball courts and squash court, indoor running track, aerobics/dance studio, cardio equipment (treadmills, bikes, steppers, cross trainers), weight equipment, and a variety of gaming from pool and ping pong to foosball.

Community members may purchase a summer membership for $125 for May 3 through August 15. Daily passes are also available for $6.

During the summer, the Student Recreation Center is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. Special hours apply to the swimming pool, which is open Monday through Friday only from 6 - 8 a.m., 11 a.m.-2 p.m. , 4 -6:30 p.m.
