CSPD search for two men who reportedly tried to abduct a girl

Police are searching for two men who reportedly tried to abduct a 9-year-old girl who was playing outside her home in the area of Carefree Circle South and North Powers Boulevard. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Colorado Springs police said the two men approached the child from behind and attempted to abduct her away from her home. The child started to scream for help and fought the suspects off in an attempt to get away. The suspects eventually fled the scene in a vehicle.

The description of the suspects:

Suspect #1
• White teenage male with blonde hair and a long scar on his forearm
• Approximately 5'7" tall,
• Thin build
• Last seen wearing a red & black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Suspect #2
• White teenage male with blonde hair
• Approximately 5'7" tall,
• Last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.

The CSPD is actively searching the area along with the assistance of K-9 Units in hopes of locating the suspects.
