The Colorado Springs Police Department is on accident alert as of 4:30 p.m. That means if the accident isn't serious you can report it later.
Here's the full explanation of how it works from the CSPD blotter:
Drivers involved in a traffic accident with no fatality or injury requiring medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and no damage to public property such as a street sign or utility pole has occurred, drivers should exchange information and follow the procedure for completing a counter or online report. Drivers can either obtain a traffic accident report form at any of the police department substations or they can go online to www.Springsgov.com and go to the CSPD homepage/Forms & Documents/Counter Reporting; or go online to the Colorado State Patrol website at https://crash.state.co.us.
