Police have closed more than a mile of roads related to the dragging of a tow truck driver in Colorado Springs.

The driver was apparently trying to tow a vehicle at the Hill Park Apartments on Murray. He was under the vehicle when someone got in it and drove away. The man was apparently tangled and could not free himself from under the vehicle. He ended up in the street more than a mile away with very serious injuries.

Police have closed Murray from Platte to Pikes Peak in both directions. From Murray to Wooten on Platte the eastbound lanes are closed.

Police did find and detain the driver, identified only as a female at this time.

We do not know the condition of the tow truck driver at this time.
