Crews try to contain diesel spill in Pueblo

Local and state health officials are scrambling to contain a spill of diesel fuel in downtown Pueblo.

According to the Pueblo Fire Department a fuel supplier over filled an underground diesel tank at a gas station at 7th and Grand. About 83 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the city's storm water system according to authorities.

The fire department has set up four booms from the Riverwalk to Runyon Lake to try to contain the spill. The Pueblo Health Department and State Health department are investigating the environmental impact.
