Counselors available after resource officer arrest

Administrators at Horace Mann Middle School are sending home letters with their students to make sure parents are aware that the schools resource officer was arrested for child pornography charges. The school has counselors available to talk to kids who may have concerns about contact with the officer or questions about the situation.
Officer Josh Carrier is accused of buying child pornography over the internet. Investigators say the Air Force Office of Special Investigations came to Colorado Springs Police with information about Carrier buying illegal pictures. They quickly figured out that it was an officer in their own department that they were investigating. Carrier is on indefinite administrative leave.
