Corrections officers guard crash aftermath on I-25

A chain reaction crash caused a big mess on I-25 through Colorado Springs Monday morning. It became even more complicated because one of the three vehicles involved was a bus full of inmates.
A dog on the freeway caused a truck driver to hit his brakes, triggering the accident. "A chain reaction accident where a semi collided with a truck at which time the bus, the Department of Corrections bus came up and collided with the semi," said Sgt. Mark Chacon with Colorado Springs Police Department.
Corrections officers stood guard with semi-automatic weapons. Thirteen prisoners were eventually transferred from the wrecked bus to another corrections bus.
There wasn't anyone seriously injured.
