The Teller County Coroner tells News First 5 a human skull found earlier this week could be that of Rebecca Magallanes. The Fremont County woman's torso was found last year in Custer County. Her head was never found.

The 44 year old was last seen in mid November 2009 at the hospital where she worked in Canon City.

You can see in the picture the human skull has a hole between the eye sockets, and the coroner says it is a "presumptive" bullet hole. The picture is courtesy of hunter Uriah P. Wurst, who found the skull over the weekend off Shelf Road.

Dr. Earl Byrne says he's waiting on dental records to confirm identification. He does know the skull is from a woman.

Magallanes live-in boyfriend, John Paul Williams, was arrested back in July. He's facing trial on charges of 1st Degree Murder.
