The Pueblo County coroner says the death of a 50-year old man on Thursday is still being investigated as a homicide. An autopsy showed Robert Piserchio suffered blunt force trauma to his head. Piserchio also had puncture wounds and burn injuries on his body.
Piserchio was found dead inside his home on Stonemoor Dr. after firefighters responded to a fire alarm. Fire crews rushed inside the smoking house and discovered Piserchio's body on a bedroom floor. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says there was evidence of gunshots fired, however the coroner says there were no gunshot wounds on Piserchio's body.
The week before his death, Pischercio reported that three women came to his home and reportedly stole his wallet.
The sheriff's office continues to investigate.
