Dylan Roche of Coronado High School is this week's Loaf ‘N Jug Gatorade Athlete of the Week.
Dylan is a senior captain on the Cougars football team, where he plays center. He and Coronado just won their first homecoming game in ten years, but Dylan doesn't just get it done on the field. He's a leader in the classroom and his community. He's the Coronado student council vice president and has a 4.4 GPA. Dylan was also just named homecoming king by his peers.
He says the secret to his success is not necessarily being popular or smart.
"Probably one of the most important things is being charismatic," says Dylan. "You don't necessarily have to be really popular, smart, or even a good athlete. If you're charismatic, people
Dylan also plays ice hockey and lacrosse. He hopes to go to college at Cornell or the University of Chicago, where he plans on studying engineering or physics.
