CINCINNATI (AP) - Chris Iannetta homered off left-hander Travis Wood, who was coming off a nearly perfect performance, and Aaron Cook got a breakthrough win on the road in the Colorado Rockies' 1-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday.
Two of the NL's top offenses had trouble on a hot, breezy afternoon - the kind that usually means a lot of runs at Great American Ball Park. This one was decided by one swing.
Iannetta connected in the sixth, one of only three hits off Wood (0-1). The rookie allowed only one hit over nine innings his last time out.
Colorado salvaged the final game of the series behind Cook (4-5), who lasted seven innings. The right-hander had been one of only four full-time NL starters without a road win this season, going 0-5 with a 6.70 ERA away from Coors Field.
