The Colorado Springs Fire Department has surrounded the fire at Bear Creek Park.
The fire broke out after 4 p.m. on the west side of Colorado Springs. As many as 10 fire crews were called. But by 5 p.m. containment was declared and some units were sent back to their stations. It's estimated the fire burned between 2 and 3 acres.
21st Street was closed for about an hour and then opened around 5:30 p.m. Lower Gold Camp Road was also closed.
