Construction underway on kayak park in Canon City

Construction is moving along on a $400,000 kayak park in Canon City. Crews are building two pools for kayakers and other water enthusiasts. The park is located on the west side of town near the Santa Fe Depot, where the Royal Gorge Route Railroad departs.
Canon City hopes the kayak park will become a tourism destination. Construction is expected to be complete at the end of next of March.
